The 54th Golden Horse Awards “Best Visual Effects” Nominated: “Who Killed Cock Robin”by TWR
Oct 2 2017
Who Killed Cock Robin was one of TWR’s most elaborate productions in 2016. The film received outstanding reviews upon release. In 2017, it was nominated for 5 awards at the 54th Golden Horse Awards, including the “Best Visual Effects” award. TWR was responsible for the film’s visual effects production, and the nomination proved our capacity for high-quality work once again.
In this film, TWR created various VFX shots, including the symbolic and impressive character “cock robin”. Due to the film’s story setting, the editing was separated into several storylines. Therefore, to respond to the whole story, the director designed cock robin to fly through the movie scenes, and this image thus cohered to both the story itself, and the movie title.
The film Who Killed Cock Robin won many positive reviews from both audiences and professional film critics, and it’s rightly deserved to be nominated by the Golden Horse Awards. TWR is honored to have had the chance to produce another Golden Horse Awards nominated film with director Cheng Wei-hao, and we’re happy that our production was nominated for Best Visual Effects in 2017! We hope that in the near future, TWR can utilize our techniques to create another film masterpiece with director Cheng again!
